Welcome to Designing Ethics -blog!

Writing a blog has been in my mind several years. I've tried and failed many, many times. I always ran into the same problem: level of privacy. This blog will not be about my personal life. This blog will be about my personal thoughts, though. 

My aim is to write about a subject that is very close to my heart and to publish those thoughts without being too afraid to open my mouth. So, here we go. Still a bit afraid but what the heck.  

This blog is an open discussion about ethics in the public sector. I would LOVE to have some comments and thoughts about the topics that I will discuss, please do not hesitate to argue or correct me, if you think I am wrong. I am not trying to claim my blog is academic, but since I am a PhD. student and currently working on my doctoral thesis I will most likely reflect here what I am reading at the given moment. Every now and then I will give some reading tips for the interested. 

I am living and breathing in Jersey City, New Jersey with my family. We are also living in the middle of transition of power in the White House as we speak. In matter of days the Trump era will begin. Since the election in November 2016, there's been a lot of discussion about conflict of interest in the news, almost everyday. In my first official blog post I will discuss about that in more detail. Stay tuned.
